TUCSON ARIZONA´S AFRICAN COMMUNITY

http://parentseyes.arizona.edu/esteban  Founded by homesteaders, cowboys, and soldiers, Tucson's African American community has a long and proud history that has contributed much to Tucson's rich heritage. These pioneers built neighborhoods, established churches and businesses, and fought to end discrimination and prejudice. Their descendants are leaders today in business, education, government and the arts.

http://aasa.web.arizona.edu The mission of African American Student Affairs (AASA) is to facilitate a support system that helps students achieve academic excellence and an enriching African American cultural experience at the University of Arizona. AASA provides programs and services that enable students to develop leadership skills as well as the resources to develop and create personal excellence.
