SANTA FE Inspired by the adobe structures built by the ancient Anasazi of the Southwest. The traditional Santa Fe has a flat roof with no overhang and is built of adobe or stuccoed concrete. Some of the details of a Santa Fe style include; wood corbels, deep simple windows, brick, tile or flagstone floors, niches, rounded contours, arched entryways, carved wooden doors, and curved corner fireplace called a Kiva fireplace.
SPANISH A blend of Mediterranean and Pueblo Indians. Some of the features of a Spanish style include; low-pitched roof, red roof tiles, stucco siding, arches, carved doors, spiral columns, courtyards, and patterned tile floors and wall surfaces.
CONTEMPORARY Contemporary style homes are identifiable by their odd-sized and often tall windows, their lack of ornamentation, and their unusual mixtures of wall materials--stone, brick, and wood. Most are designed to embody the surrounding landscape into their overall look.
BUNGALOW The style, often known as the California Bungalow, was most popular between 1900 and 1920. It's characterized by few material details, an offset entryway, and a projecting bay on the facade. This style offers rustic exteriors, sheltered-feeling interiors, and spacious front porches.
MEDITERRANEAN Wild and expressive this fashion was borrowed from Moorish and Byzantine to the Renaissance. This style features red tile roofs as well as flat roofs with parapets, decorative railings, carved stonework, arches, porch entries, and patterned tile floors.
RANCH Ranch style homes are one-story and simple. Features of a Ranch; low pitched roof, single story, sliding glass doors leading out to patio, attached garage, built from natural materials: oak, wood or brick exterior, and lacks decorative detailing, aside from shutters.
TERRITORIAL Territorial style homes are Spanish and pueblo influenced. Features of a territorial: flat roof with no overhang, single story, rambling layout, and built of brick. Some territorials have arched door ways and entry courtyards.
PATIO HOME A patio home is a single family residence. Patio homes have little yard space, usually just a small front courtyard and a small back patio.
TOWNHOUSE Townhouses are a group of houses that are joined by common side walls. Some features of Townhouses; can be one or two story, have Home Owner Associations, usually do not have yards, small patios.
CONDOMINIUM Condominiums are apartment houses in which the apartments or units are individually owned, each owner receiving a recordable deed enabling him to sell, mortgage, exchangeapartment his aparment independent of the owners of other apartments or units in the building.
MANUFACTURED A manufactured homes are constructed entirely in a factory. The house is placed on a steel chassis and transported to the home site. The wheels can be removed but the chassis stays in place. Manufactured homes can come in many different sizes and shapes. It can be a simple "mobile home" or it can be so large and complex that you would never guess that it was constructed off site.
